In an accumulation fund, the amount of money you get when you retire (your retirement benefit) depends on how much you contribute and how much your fund earns from investing your contributions.

In a defined benefit fund, the money you get when you retire usually depends on how long you have worked for your employer and how much money you are earning from your employer when you retire. The calculator also does not work for retirement income stream products.
